I can't sleep. It's 2:30 in the morning, I have class in the morning, from 10 in the morning until 10 at night, with two 2 hour breaks. I can assure you those breaks will be consumed by napping. I have meetings every day this week and a soccer game on Tuesday, plus homework due for all of my classes, which will only aid me in not sleeping. I'll thereby lose even more sleep throughout the week. Plus, the forecast says there's only going to be only two sunny days this week- rainy days make EVERYONE tired. Aces.
I can assure you, however, that no matter how jam-packed my sleep-deprived week is going to be, nothing can compare to the day Kakha Kaladze had on Saturday. Kaladze, the caption of the Georgia national team, kindly lent Italy two own goals in their match. This was his first game in 7 months (he recently recovered from knee surgery) and this is what happens to the poor guy.
Kaladze, also a defender for AC Milan, accidentally headed into his own goal a cross/shot from Italian striker Angelo Palombo, and shortly after he attempted to clear out a ball that miskicked into his net as well.
Wow. Imagine what this guy has been going through? His first game in 7 months, captain of his national team, and he gives two to Italy. I can't really think of a worse homecoming, but correct me if I'm wrong.
Kaladze spoke to Italian reporters on Saturday saying, "My team did well and we showed our heart. I'm sorry, its my fault. It hurts me. I don't know what to say."
I truly feel bad for this guy, especially he gave Italy its only two goals in four matches. The Italians played a match to forget, aided only by the misfortunes of Kaladze. Keep your chin up, guy. Things will get better.
