Major Games from Today

Other WC qualifiers that took place today, in case you're interested.

England 5-1 Croatia: this was the game that cemented England in South Africa next summer. Lampard and Gerrard each got two, and Wayne Rooney got one for himself.
Italy 2-0 Bulgaria: Berbatov's national team was shut down today, with goals by Fabio Grosso and Vincenzo Iaquinta
Portugal 1-0 Hungary: Pepe (who I will never speak a nice word on here- I don't care if he spends the rest of his life trying to stop world hunger) saved Portugal and gave them a hope of qualifying for the WC with a goal 10' in.
France 1-1 Serbia: This score was actually pretty impressive considering France's goalie was ejected literally 13 minutes into the game because of an illegal tackle in the box. Serbia capitalized on the penalty kick, which Henry leveled the score in the 31st minute. Serbia also had a man sent off during the game but I couldn't find when he was sent off.
Sweden 1-0 Malta: Ibrahimavoc's team benefited from an own goal from Malta to keep their WC hopes alive
