Perez Is Looking to Replace Pellegrini Already

After 6 games, 5 wins and 1 loss, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is already trying to replace his coach, Manuel Pellegrini. Apparently to Perez defeat is not an option after spending 254million euros on 8 players this summer.

The coach and the president do not see eye to eye. From what I gather from the article, Perez does not understand that every team in the league (Barcelona included) will eventually face defeat. Real lost to a worthy opponent- Sevilla- who are a strong team.

Pellegrini also does not blame the absence of Ronaldo for the loss, thank God.

It's a long season. Most clubs wait until their team is on the brink of disaster before they fire a trainer. When Bayern Munich on a multiple game losing streak, Jurgen Klinsmann got the sack. When Real Madrid had an awful start to their season and lost 2-0 to Barcelona in December 08, Bernd Schuster was fired. Heck, even Luiz Felipe Scolari was in charge of Chelsea FC for 7 months before he was shown the door.

All in all I think it's entirely too early to start talking about firing coaches. There have only been 6 games played and May is a looong way away. My best advice to Perez is to take a chill pill. Real Madrid is an amazing team this season, with a huge amount of talent and potential. This minor blip on their record probably won't come back to haunt them (much to my dismay).
