Sorry for the long absence! I promise it won't happen again- now it's time to play catch-up. There was so so much that went on this weekend in the world of soccer that needs reporting!
I'm going to start off with the most important.
CRISTIANO RONALDO WILL BE OUT OF ACTION FOR THREE TO FOUR WEEKS!
I'm going to wait a moment for that to sink in.
Ok. This weekend the striker played with Portugal in their second to last WC qualifier against Hungary. If you remember there was a lot of controversy surrounding Ronaldo's presence on the field with Portugal, because Real Madrid didn't want him to aggravate the ankle injury that made him sit out Real's game against Sevilla. But Ronaldo persisted and got what he wanted (what else is new?) and now he's out for three to four weeks, as stated previously.
The Portuguese diva limped off the field after only 27 minutes. However, unlike Real Madrid, Portugal was able to move on without their star and defeated Hungary 3-0. They play their last qualifier on Wednesday, against Malta.
