He's Baaack

Volatile Chelsea striker Didier Drogba will rejoin the starting lineup today for Chelsea's game against Atletico Madrid, as his 3-match Champions League ban came to an end after their 4-0 win over Atletico last round.

Drogba was handed a 3-match ban at the end of last season's Champions League, after he verbally abused referee Tom Henning Overbo at the end of their semi-final match against Barcelona. The striker felt that several penalties should have been awarded to Chelsea in the last minutes of the game, including a handball in the box against Barcelona, which would have won the game for Chelsea.

Drogba was shown a yellow card after running onto the field to scream at Ovrebo. I don't know exactly what the exchange was between the two, but it was pretty bad to be given a 3-match CL ban.

Needless to say, he's back and he'll have plenty of more opportunities to harass referees and fine tune his diving abilities. I wonder what he'd do if Chelsea lost to Atletico?
