Group E

Fiorentina vs Debrecen

Fiorentina shattered Debrecen last round, defeating them 4-0. Fiorentina is in 2nd place, just three points behind undefeated Lyon while Debrecen, like Group A Maccabi Haifa, remain winless. The day does not look promising for Debrecen.

Lyon vs Liverpool

Liverpool has managed to be stunningly inconsistent in and out of the CL this season, with 5 losses in the EPL and 2 in the CL. They have a mere 3 points, setting them in 3rd place. They take on undefeated Lyon today. I wish them the best of luck, as they will need it.

Group F

Barcelona vs FK Rubin Kazan

Barca's defeat to this small Russian team was considered one of the biggest upsets in European football history. Now the Catalans have a chance to redeem themselves as they travel to Russia. Dani Alves has returned from Injury a week early and will most likely start. Barcelona, Dynamo Kiev, and Kazan are all tied for 1st place with 4 points.

Inter MIlan vs Dynamo Kiev

Inter needs a win today if they want to stand any sort of chance in continuing to the Sweet 16 (not what it's actually called- just what I'm calling it). They're the only team in Group F with 3 points, because they've tied all three of their games. 3 points today is absolutely necessary.

Group G

Sevilla FC vs VfB Stuttgart

Sevilla has a solid 5-pt lead on the group, and after their 3-1 trounce of Stuttgart last round, can almost guarantee they'll strengthen it today. Stuttgart have only 2 points from 2 ties, putting them in 3rd place, right above the Rangers.

Rangers vs Unirea Urziceni

A win is the only acceptable outcome for the Rangers today, though they probably stand no chance of continuing in the tournament anyway. Urziceni has 4 points and is in 2nd place while the Rangers have only 1.

Group H

Arsenal vs AZ Alkmaar

Arsenal conceded a tie to Alkmaar last round after an injury time strike from Da Silva leveled Fabregas' first-half goal. Arsenal lead the table with 7 points while Alkmaar have 2.

Olympiakos vs Standard Liege

Olympiakos has 6 points in the table, while Standard has only 2. However, Olympiakos barely defeated Standard last round, so today's match has the potential to be quite interesting.
